Feeling Green?

Betty is our friend and fellow tenant at Colby’s Hokey Pokey in Whitehall, MI.  She has this beautiful cabinet that she keeps her ‘green’ collection in.  It’s a collection of everything green and Betty has some cool stuff.  In fact, Betty has an awesome eye for rustic treasures!  Every time I am working, shopping, ahem,  working my shift, I find myself attracted to everything Betty has in the store!!

Betty recently came to us and wanted our advice on painting her wooden cabinet using Vintage Market and Design Furniture Paint.  She chose the color Antique.  Before Betty tried painting the VM&D paint, she wasn’t very confident and was very hesitant.  We were able to encourage her and talk her through some of the steps to get started.  (By the way, did you know you don’t have to do any prep work at all??  Just make sure your furniture piece is clean!)

Betty’s cabinet turned out beautiful!!  We are so proud of her work and I think she is proud of it too.  Moral of the story, we find that what prevents most customers from painting their own furniture is lack of confidence.  Once you roll up your sleeves and jump in, you will find that it all turns out ok!  And for those of you that need a little extra encouragement, we teach intro chalk paint classes.  What are you waiting for??  Grab a brush and start painting now!

PS:  If you happen to find yourself around Whitehall, Mi, pop in to Colby’s Hokey Pokey and check out Betty’s Green Collection!
